Twix Cappucino

Description: Manufacturer: Mars / Type: Chocolate Bar

... non-coffee fan I'm rather biased. I was never likely to find this one of the all-time great chocolate experiences. Even allowing for that, I honestly think that producers Mars could have done a bit better than this. If you imagine the dregs from the bottom of a very average jar of supermarket own-brand instant coffee, mixed with the usual (and admittedly not bad in texture) chewy caramel from a standard Twix, then you're just about there. One to pass over, this....more

Premium Review Twix Cappucino: Should you polish off this Polish bar? (614 words)
by - written on 19/11/09 (Very useful, 54 readings)

I have to confess that I'm not a massive fan of the ordinary Twix bar. That's not to say that I hate the thing, simply that it's rarely higher on my impulse-buy list than quite a number of other chocolate bars. I'm also not a massive fan of coffee: it's a nice enough drink, but I've never got into the whole coffee-bar culture and find Starbucks' idiotic jargon to have no redeeming features whatsoever. So, why am I reviewing the coffee-flavoured Twix Cappuccino? The answer is simple: because it's there! I first came across this bar in Poundland, of all places. Thankfully it didn't cost a whole shiny gold piece for just the one: you could pick up four of them ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Smak na tak! (300 words)

Twix are one of my favourite chocolate bars, since they come in twos (so you can eat one and leave one) and are margianlly more filling than some others thanks to their biscuit-y insides. I bought these limited edition polish versions from a online bulk retailer, in a box of 36, so I'm not sure how many normal UK shops would stock them. I'll take them apart in the order that they come. The packaging is okay, as can be seen from the picture they look very much like a standard Twix, but with limited edition and cappuccino at the side. It also has a cheery logo that says smak na tak! It appears to be a competition pack, simillar to our ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Twix Cappucino: A twix with a twist (217 words)
by - written on 01/09/09 (Useful, 43 readings)
Rating:

Twix Cappucino is one of those rare items that I came across when browsing in the local newsagents once, it's a limited edition chocolate bar from Masterfoods that in theory is only available on the Polish market but can supposedly be unearthed in Poundstretcher too. I'm always keen to give the limited edition choc bars ago, even if they rarely make it on to the market permanently and aren't as good as their permanent contemporaries! If you like cappucino then you'll probably like this, whilst it may be artificial the cappucino taste is relatively similar to the real mccoy and gives a real twist to the brand, making a refreshing change from a regular twix, ...  Read the complete review
