I have to confess that I'm not a massive fan of the ordinary Twix bar. That's not to say that I hate the thing, simply that it's rarely higher on my impulse-buy list than quite a number of other chocolate bars. I'm also not a massive fan of coffee: it's a nice enough drink, but I've never got into the whole coffee-bar culture and find Starbucks' idiotic jargon to have no redeeming features whatsoever. So, why am I reviewing the coffee-flavoured Twix Cappuccino? The answer is simple: because it's there! I first came across this bar in Poundland, of all places. Twix are one of my favourite chocolate bars, since they come in twos (so you can eat one and leave one) and are margianlly more filling than some others thanks to their biscuit-y insides. I bought these limited edition polish versions from a online bulk retailer, in a box of 36, so I'm not sure how many normal UK shops would stock them. I'll take them apart in the order that they come. The packaging is okay, as can be seen from the picture they look very much like a standard Twix, but with limited edition and cappuccino at the side. Twix Cappucino is one of those rare items that I came across when browsing in the local newsagents once, it's a limited edition chocolate bar from Masterfoods that in theory is only available on the Polish market but can supposedly be unearthed in Poundstretcher too. I'm always keen to give the limited edition choc bars ago, even if they rarely make it on to the market permanently and aren't as good as their permanent contemporaries! If you like cappucino then you'll probably like this, whilst it may be artificial the cappucino taste is relatively similar to the real mccoy and gives a real twist to the brand, making a refreshing change from a regular twix, ...
