Advantages: tastes great

Disadvantages: fatty

When I need a chocolate fix, but am hungry at the same time, I am often found buying a pack of Twix's. There is something about these bars that are more satisfying than just a piece of chocolate, yet they have enough sweetness attached to them to satisfy my craving at the same time.

A Twix is made by Mars foods, and come in twin packs. It always makes me feel as though I am getting two bars for the price of one even though I know it's not true. You can also buy them in multipacks where they are packaged singularly.

A Twix comes packaged in all things Gold. Does that mean that it glitters? Nope but it's very close to being perfection according to my taste buds.
Tearing off the gold wrapper, you are met with a stick just larger than the width of an adult's finger and about 10cm long.
Hiding underneath a generous layer of rippled chocolate there are two extra treats waiting to be found. The first is the base of the Twix, in the form of a biscuit base. Nestled comfortably on top of the biscuit is a lovely thick gooey layer of soft caramel. All held together by the chocolate.

I challenge anyone to be able to eat a Twix normally. There are ways to enjoy this bar, and it is as follows.
First nibble off the outer layer of chocolate down to about half the bar. You can then enjoy the caramel as it slides into your mouth before crunching through the buttery biscuit.
This process won't take you too long at all otherwise it turns into a very messy process, but it's definitely one to try if you haven't already.
When you've finished don't forget you can do it all over again with the second bar.
You can only imagine what all those sweet flavours and different textures do to your taste buds, but it's very close to being in my own chocolate heaven.

A Twix was first produced in 1967 in the UK. It's good to know a product is still being produced all these years later. Usually the popular products disappear from the market after a while, or get revamped so they are unrecognisable. The Twix is still the same from when I was growing up, it's just got smaller. Or maybe I've got bigger.

These double packs will provide you with about 280 cals and 13g fat. It's quite a naughty treat for your 45p. If only chocolate was good for you.

Considering these bars aren't made by Cadburys they come very close favourite of mine, especially as I'm a true follower of Cadburys.

Summary: a great alternative to just chocolate
