Advantages: A not too sweet crunchy snack
Disadvantages: Foreign writing
Twix consists of two milk chocolate covered fingers of caramel and shortbread biscuit. It's a sweet snack that half fills you up. No snack should fill you up. That's the problem with so many snacks nowadays - they're too filling.
These two fingers have been around for bleedin' ages. It is rumoured that Wellington put two up to Napoleon in 1800 something (so my great uncle Whorewick told me). Lawrence of Arabia only made it across the Moby dick desert because he had a gooey soggy melted mess that was once a Twix still stuck in the bottom of his back pack next to the toilet roll. I wasn't there so am unable to confirm this. Since then millions have had Twix caramel stuck between their teeth. There are probably thousands of people in England right now trying to pick out the sticky caramel wrapped round their gums. It's one of the things that makes England (and it's colonies) still such a great nation.
Twix is crunchy and chewy at the same time. Some might say a perfect combination. They're not too sweet or fattening unless you eat 10. Just two fingers with a cup if tea will suffice.
The price for an individual Twix is about 45p. You might find cheaper ones sold in boxes at car boot sales. These usually have Pakistani or Egyptian writing on the packs. According to the pack these Twix are manufactured on Mars (although my Egyptian isn't that good). I'd steer clear of these. I stick to buying mine at my friendly Asian corner shop.
