Advantages: yummy and you can share

Disadvantages: Not too good for you

I do like my chocolate but do try and limit how much I have of it, I was out with my my son whose 18 months the other day and needed a chocolate fix so went into my local tesco's express and picked a Twix. I really forgot how good they were! I was really good and gave one stick to my son, which is one of the really good things about Twix as they come in two, so you can share it or save some for later.

I think it cost me about 42p but prices can vary in different shops, they also come in different sized packs like 16pk, 5 pk, funsize and they even do a Twix extra which is just like a normal bar but a little bigger so if you need a bit more than a normal bar this will be the ticket. I actually saw a Twix thickshake which I am yet to try.

The bar consists of a shortbread biscuit base with little holes in it, which i love as if you dip it in a drink like tea/hot chocolate you can suck it through ( kid at heart). Then it has soft caramel on top of the biscuit which i like when it has been in the fridge as it goes hard and you can peel it off in one layer. The top has a layer of chocolate which goes all around the bar and round the bottom of the biscuit, what more can you ask for. You get a mixture of all tastes and textures which I love. I don't think Twix's are too sweet and sickly which some chocolate bars can be and of course you get lots of choice on the size you buy.

The wrapper is really catchy in gold with red writing, altough I do think a little outdated as I always remember it as being the same without any change. Then again this is why it may be so popular as its been around since 1967 in the UK and 1979 in the United states.

Of course we need to have a disadvantage to this product and of course its the same as all chocolate it's not very good for you!
one piece of the bar contains 142Kcal and has 6.9g of fat in it, which isn't too bad if you only eat half of the bar if you can.

Summary: great bar great to share
