Advantages: Great taste combination

Disadvantages: Calories

Twix is one of my favourite chocolate bars and is the ideal accompaniment to a nice big cup of coffee. The price will vary dependant on the size with the largest one retailing upwards of 65p while the smaller size goes for 45p, you can also get multi packs and mini part bag versions.

The standard Twix is a two finger chocolate biscuit both of which are about the width of your thumb and about the span of your hand in length. The outer layer is some lovely smooth milk chocolate with a ridged effect on the top as it the chocolate has been poured over it which in reality is what has happened as I have seen the production process. In side there is a nice firm biscuit base that is pale in colour and slightly crumbly, it provides a nice contrast to the rather sweet taste of the chocolate and the layer of caramel that sits on top of it.

It is great to bite into as there is the soft top layer and then the crunch, I like to freeze mine as I do with all chocolate. Flavour wise the three combine well together and it is a great compliment to a mug of fresh coffee.

Summary: Perfect with coffee

I freeze all my chocolate too...except Walnut Whips - the freezer doesn't agree with them ;-)
