Double the taste (Twix)

Advantages: Two fingers, great taste, nice caramel

Disadvantages: High in fat, Mars chocolate

Twix bars a similar to Mars Bars, but instead of nougat there is short bread, and instead of one bar, there are two fingers. It has thesame caramel and chocolate, but the taste and texture are very different due to the shortbread. I rate this higher than a Mars bar because it has a more snack like appeal and in my opinion is more satisfying.

The Twix wrapper seems never to have changed (apart from changing from paper to foiled plastic) and still is gold with red writing, which makes it stand out on the shelf from most of the other chocolate bars.

Each finger consists of a shortbread base, which looks like a manufactured scottish shortbread finger. This is covered with soft caramel, which is then covered with Mars chocolate. When biting into the Twix, you get the crunch of the shortbread and the chewy caramel which makes a great combination. The fun way of eating a twix is to strip all the caramel off and eat the shortbread seperately, but you shouldn't play with your food.

This bar is one of my favourite Mars products and is available in regular two finger bars, single finger snack size and sometimes a special edition 3 finger bar. Each finger has 142 calories and 6.9g of fat, so if you are sharing the bar it is better for you. Like the Kit Kat, this is a nice tea break bar.
