Twix - a snack that will certianly give you a chocolate hit and fill you up (Twix)

Advantages: It's tasty and is a great snack

Twix is among one of my favourite chocolate bars, but doesn't have the same appeal as the wispa.

It's made by mars and comes in 2 main sizes 58g (standard) and 85g (xtra). Like all chocolate bars prices are going crazy and I try to get the best value by buying them in packs - in this case twix can be bought for £1.59 for pack of 5 from Asda. Not particularly good value, but when you need a chocolate hit you buy any that come along.

Twix comes normally in 2 finger packs, although you can buy packs of single fingers and they also make twix biscuits. The fingers have smooth milk chocolate wrapped around a mixture of toffee and crunchy biscuit. For this reason, unlike other chocolate bars they are ideal as a snack, and are filling.

Each bar (29g) contains 142 calories, 14.3g sugar, 6.9g fat of which 3.9g are saturates and 0.13g salt.

I used to buy these bars every week as my son was mad on them, and I still buy them from time to time, but not in the same league as my favourite bar. It still has great taste, but just doesn't satisfy in the same way.

Summary: For a quick snack or something to keep you going twix is a good choice
