Twix is one of those chocolate bars that have been around for years. Nothing flashy or overly clever about it, it's just always been 'there'.

I've always liked a Twix. I'm a fan of Mars/Galaxy chocolate anyway, and because of them coming as single sticks in multipacks, they were often a little treat that my parents used to put in my lunch box in school.

Many years later, I've re-discovered the reliable loveliness of the Twix - especially the twin bar! Two fingers of lovely crunchy biscuit, chewy caramel and coated in chocolate? What could be better!

I have been known, on very naughty days when there's not been time for a normal option, to pick up a twin bar of Twix for breakfast! Awful I know, and not something I would ever do on a regular basis! But unlike many other bars out there, a Twix twin bar is substantial enough to keep you going. It's definitely the type of chocolate bar that you really enjoy when feeling properly hungry.

The only weakness to this chocolate bar as far as I can see is that the biscuit could be better. The texture is a bit boring and uninteresting. I remember when I was younger taking great pains to try to eat off all the biscuit, while keeping the slab of caramel intact, so I could enjoy the delicious mixture of caramel and chocolate on their own at the end! What a messy pastime! However, I suppose if the biscuit was more interesting, the combination of the three ingredients wouldn't work as well.

Overall a good staple, reliable, tasty chocolate bar - either for the peckish (single finger!) or the hungry (twin pack!).
