Advantages: Yummy crumbly chocolate

Disadvantages: Not nice if put in the frige

What I love about Twix is the sheer variety. This chocolate bar has been around for as long as I can remember. They come in a very inviting shing gold wrapper. They have different varities and they come as follows:-

Fun siz Twix Bar 99 calories and 4.7 grams of fat
Standard 2 Bar Twix (62g) 306 calories and 14.9 grams of fat
King size 2 Bar Twix (85g) 420 calories and 22 grams of fat

Looking at the numbers as above is a little bit frightening (especially as I can eat a King Size bar a day, but hey ho). However aside from the awul calorie content the bar itself is a delight.

It is a long thin biscuit which is covered in a thin layer of caramel and then covered in milk chocolate. This bar is made by Mars and they now do a Dark Chocolate version which can be brought in some supermarkets and local shops, although admittedly it has been a while since I have seen them. When you bit into the Twix it is a nice sensation because the caramel is not too soft which maked it more crumbly than tough. This is based on the fact that you haven't put your Twix in the fridge. Once you sucumb your Twix to the fridge I find that eating them becomes unbearable as they become very hard and too crunchy. The added bonus is that once you have experienced one bar, you get to eat a second (yay). This chocolate bar is a very popular choice although the chocolate is very different from your normal Cadburys chocolate.

Now upon a bit of searching (and also a previous review on here) it is said that Twix have produced other flavours and varieties such as Choc 'n' Orange and Mint. However these bars were limited edition and are no longer sold. twic do however still produce an ice cream version of the bar that can be brought in supermarkets. Prices for different size bars vary greatly but a standard bar can br brought from roughly 30 pence anywhere up to 60 pence.

To finalise the other added bonus is (yep you guessed it, the weird eating habits coming up again) is that if you have weird ways of eating other foods (such as Cadburys Creme Eggs and so on), then Twix is no exception. Try biting off all the chocolate at the top of the bar and then biting off the caramel on its own and then leaving the biscuit until last, where you can finish it off by having a dunk in a nice hot cup of tea. No, I'm not weird really, and I just know that at least one person will try that at home :-)

Summary: Not bad
