Advantages: Nice texture

Disadvantages: Taste rank; Too much curry spice

Another day, another bag of bbq crisps in mine and my mate's search for the perfect bbq crisps. I found these Summer BBQ crisps in the bargain basket in Spar, a big 150g bag that had been reduced to 55p. The full price would have been £1.59 and that's still not bad for a bag of crisps of that size so I'd have brought them anyway, actually I don't know why they were reduced because they were still well in date and the bag wasn't damaged or anything.

You know what, I do know why they were reduced and that because they are crap! Proper nasty crisps, and it's not like me to diss any crisps because I love them!

They've got a mad flavour and is nothing like bbq at all. It's more of a curry taste that tastes a bit salty, there's a bit of a meaty flavour in the crisps and also I think they taste a bit like chicken as well. They're dead spicy as well, I'm not mad keen on hot crisps and wasn't expecting this from a packet of bbq because I've never tasted bbq crisps with all that spice on them. They were too hot for me to enjoy and I only had a few before I sealed the bag back up for my mate to try. She loved them because she like chilli flavours and stuff like that but she did say that even though they were good crisps they weren't bbq at all.

They haven't got any smokey flavour like bbq crisps should have and when you lick the flavouring off the crisp it's got the taste of curry powder and is very peppery. I liked the texture of them because they're a bit like Kettle Chips but not as thick, I liked how a few of the crisps had stuck together because that made them chunkier and a proper mouthful.

I don't see what all the hype's about with Tyrells, people think they're posh when they eat them but Tyrells must be having a right laugh by selling these manky crisps at the same price as a much tastier packet of Kettle Chips!

Summary: Manky Crisps That Aren't BBQ
