When browsing the reduced section of my local Sainsbury's my eye was caught by this 'Ugo four cheese and sweet red onion chutney panini' reduced from £2.29 down to just 58p. I've wanted to try these for ages now so promptly picked it up. This panini comes in a plastic bag with all the usual nutritional information, ingredients, contact details etc. The packet also tells me that this is suitable for vegetarians but not for anyone with allergies of soya, sesame seeds, gluten, milk or mustard as it may contain any of these. I wondered why it could or would contact sesame seeds and I did actually taste some which appears to be in the chutney. Once the ... Read the complete review

Another Ugo review and I didn't enjoy this one like I did the Chicken one. I would not buy it again. Ugo's come in 3 different kinds, and I found these at the ready snack Microwave burgers section in Tesco. This was on a buy 1 get 1 free offer, but you couldn't mix and match with the other flavours, so I ended up with 2 of them. The price was £2.29, which I think is pricy for an individual snack like this, but alright if you are getting 2 of them! Packaging is alright on these. Not big, bulky and full of cardboard. These are in a thick plastic bag that is sort of cloudy plastic and you can see the product through the bag. There is a black strip that ... Read the complete review

My final of the three Ugo Deli Panini's. Well folks, I have now had all three of my Ugo's Deli Panini's - the final one being the Four Cheese and Onion Chutney. (Please see my previous reviews for the Chargrilled Chicken Panini and Bacon and cheese Panini). As with the others the Four Cheese Panini is just over £2 and very quick and easy to heat up in the Microwave. The packaging is sophisticated looking. The different packages have different colours - All the packaging is black but the colour strips across the middle vary depending on which Panini you have - the Four Cheese Panini has a red strip. As with the others, the four cheese ... Read the complete review

I saw that a few people had been reviewing the Ugo's Deli Cafe range over the last few weeks, so thought I'd jump on the band wagon. I have been a fan of these microwavable meals for a while now and thought I should add my two cent into the dicussions on them. So to begin with the Cheese and Chutney Panini. What makes it so great? The cheese is a good mixture of different cheeses, that blend very well together. The bread tastes fresh and is cooked well (helped by the fancy pouch it comes in), and the chutney is just enought to compliment the cheese rather than over power it. I have to admit as a growing man I tend to have two of this ... Read the complete review

I like Panini's and think this chilled Four Cheese & Sweet Red Onion Chutney one from Ugo's is wicked for quickness and flavour. The panini bread itself isn't the best and is a bit tougher than I would normally have, this must be because to cook it you need to nuke the panini for a couple of minutes and the filling is so nice that you can forgive a slightly chewy bread. There are 4 cheeses and they are mixed very well and have melted together good. The flavour of the cheese is stronger than I thought it would be but I've had these kinds of snacks before and the cheese usually tastes artificial, the cheese used on this panini tastes fresh and ...
