The Uncle Ben's range of Express rice are brilliant. They are designed for all those people you just don't have the time or can't be bothered to wait for their rice to cook. Rice is not very hard to cook properly but it does take a little patience and practice. However now Uncle Ben's have taken all that trouble away and it only takes 2 minutes until you have a meal fit for a king. To heat the rice you simple tear or cut the corner about 2 cm long and stick it in the microwave for a few minutes. The packets aren't particularly cheap and you would find it a lot cheaper to buy the rice uncooked but that would involve time and effort and this product is designed for people who have neither.
The Tomato and Basil Rice is a slighlty strange flavour to have as it doesn't really go with any of the normal dishes i would cook like indian, chinese or carribean. It does taste great though, i tend to use it as a snack or with a fresh salad.

Summary: strange flavour but brilliant rice
