I have tried quite a few of the Uncle Ben's range of cooking sauces, but this was my latest and also the first I have reviewed. Like the other sauces in the range, it comes in a clear glass jar with an orange plastic screw top lid, and a label around the middle that has cooking instructions and nutritional information on it. This flavour is Sweet Thai Chilli and it has a picture of a single chilli next to it, along with the word 'Mild'. It is described as a 'sweet and spicy sauce packed with crispy vegetables and spiced with red chillies and hints of lemongrass'. I'm not the worst cook on the planet so usually when it comes to cooking meals I do not look for short cuts by buying ready prepared cooking sauces instead using fresh ingredients however I do tend to keep the odd sauce mix or jar in the cuphoard for those occasions when time is prescious. Hence I picked up this Uncle Ben's Thai Sweet Cilli Sauce for just such an occasion and I was pleasantly surprised with the results when I used it recently.
