I like to use vinegar on my dinner. I buy Sarsons Malt Vinegar for sprinkling on my dinner and this is really tasty added to chips with a little sprinkling of salt. It adds a little bit of bite to an otherwise boring food. The chips are best cut up your self from a good potato and then baked in the oven with a little fry light sprayed over them. If you have a deeper dish, you could add a small layer of water under the raw potato and spray teh top and they par boil/bake at the same time. The vinegar really compliments this meal.

Another food I like to sprinkle vinegar on is peas. If I am having peas with my dinner and there is no gravy with that meal, so a fish meal for instance, then I like to put vinegar on the peas then. My grandad got me into this habit and it something I do through habit now but it is very tasty.

I also buy White Wine Vinegar and add it to olive oil and garlic salt to make a lovely salad dressing. It is not as sharp as malt vinegar but makes the dressing tangy enough to stand out from the rest of the salad. Very tasty.

Lastly, I buy pickling vinegar and pickle my own onions. Usually just at Christmas I do this but occasionally I have done it through the year. I got one of the pickled onion jars from my local fish and chip shop and then sat one night peeling onions (little pickling ones) and then added the pickling vinegar to the jar, shut it up tight and left it for about 6 weeks. The onions were really sharp and delicous. The very best - better than Haywards!
