REALTRAVELLER Vinegar in general: ... only vinegar is one of the cheapest products around, but also it is one of the most versatile. Vinegar, for example, can be used to keep your garden in order, simply by spraying it on bad weeds. I normally prepare a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar and spray it on the bad weeds, with a small sprayer. It is a natural way to keep your garden clean. I also use it to clean windows, normally mixing one spoon of ...

Harvey Nichols Balsamic Vinegar Harvey Nichols Balsamic Vinegar
Food / Perfect balance of sweetness and acidity to drizzle with oil over salads or add to meat stock. One of the best ways of appreciating Balsamic Vinegar is to break chunks of Parmigiano Reggiano onto a plate and gently drip the Balsamic Vinegar onto each piece. This makes a fantastic pre-dinne...

nayland Vinegar in general
... it s that time of year again, where has the last 12 months gone? Did we have summer? When was it Easter? I can t beleive that we are in November already. Normally I would be well on my way to having all my Christmas pressies all got and wrapped, but with the last few months events I have nothing whatsoever! There is one thing though that I must do now and this I did yesterday. This is to make my jars of Pickled Eggs for my boys. I don t remember when this first started but it was way back when they were all little and hubby is particial to a pickled egg. So I started to make my own and now it just seems to have become a regular thing that I do this time of year. ...

... first off keep an open mind and think about the credit crunch and old school ways of cleaning! I have recently been converted to WHITE VINEGAR (please don t use brown!!!) as a cleaner and disinfectant. A bottle of white vinegar costs around 50p (tesco own brand) and has a multitude of uses. It lasts months and is so much cheaper than the alternative cleaning products i would use otherwise. First off i use it as a fabric conditioner (i did say keep an opend mind) - i put 1-2 capfuls in my conditioner drawer of the washing machine and my clothes come up smelling of the washing powder i have used. No vinegar smell at all on my clothes although occassionally the machine...

kappari Vinegar in general
... do we make the most of it? Most of us have a bottle of vinegar in our cupboards and just use it now and again to sprinkle on our chips - yet it is a most wonderful, almost magical, substance and can be used for many purposes. The word vinegar is derived from the French word vinaigre which translates as "sour wine." Vinegar s role in history is well documented and it has been widely used for thousands of years. The first records of its use start around 5000 BC. The Babylonians used the fruit of the date palm to make wine and vinegar. They used it as a food and as a preserving or pickling agent. Vinegar residues have also been found in ancient Egy...
