Advantages: Wonderful taste, can be eaten warm or cold

Disadvantages: Needs a salad or side dishes to make it a full meal

Now the weather is getting warmer, quiche is the perfect week day meal in our house. I love Waitrose anyway and when I saw these quiches were on offer at two for £4- the same price as Sainsburys- I thought it was worth a try.

The look of the quiche isn't that different from any other supermarket quiche and the cooking instructions are also pretty standard. I thought the quiche was a little bit small but when we actually say down to eat I thought half a quiche was the perfect size. The taste of the quiche is actually much better than I had expected- the custard is creamy and the taste of the cheese and onion really does come through. I was impressed that the product actually seemed to be seasoned properly with pepper and nutmeg.

I'll be buying this product again and would highly recommend it. It's not the cheapest, but with a salad it easily feeds two people. It can be frozen for up to a month so is a perfect product to stash in the freezer for a day you can't be bothered to cook.

Summary: Great weekday dinner
