It's rare I buy ready meals as I find them overly salty and very bland in comparison to their home made equivalent, but in Waitrose last week I saw a chilled Chicken Tikka Masala with Pilau Rice which had been reduced from almost £4 to just £1.79 as the cardboard sleeve had become damaged. I do enjoy Waitrose food so decided to buy it for my dinner as I had purchased naan breads from Tesco the day before. The curry is packaged in the usual sectioned microwavable container with the tasty looking yellow rice in one section and a reassuringly chunky looking curry in the other. Waitrose Chicken Tikka Masala & Pilau Rice 500g This is one of the very delicious ready meals I tried recently and I wanted to share my experience with you. I bought this 500g meal from Ocado online for £3.59. It comes in a microwavable black tray covered with film with two sections; half for pilau rice and half for the chicken pieces with masala sauce. The microwavable tray is also covered by a cardboard cover which you can slide to see the meal. To prepare the meal all you have to do is remove the cardboard sleeve, pierce the film in several places and put it in a 850w microwave for 5½ minutes.
