Potato wedges are a great alternative to chips. The make a nice change, its always good to add some variety to your diet! They are also much healthier in termes of fat content, whcih is always a bonus. I have tried quite a few bags of the cheaper potato wedges. Some have been OK, and some have been disappointing. It soon became apparent that with potato wedges, similar to oven chips, you get what you pay for. With this in mind, and knowing I had to organise a lunch soon for a few friends, I headed to the slightly classier waitrose and spent a bit extra on these wedges. The wedges are made of thick and chunky maris piper potatos and taste gorgeous. ... Read the complete review

Normally I just stick to the normal frozen chips from any supermarket thinking that they all taste the same, but when I discovered these spicy potato wedges I knew I was wrong. The product comes in a normal orange recyclable plastic bag that you can buy from Waitrose or www.Ocado.com for £1.39. This is definitely more expensive than the normal frozen potato chips, and depending on the number of people you are serving, this 750g is enough for two times at most. Still, this will be ... Potato wedges are a very handy alternative to oven chips. They are lower in fat weight for weight as well, making them a healthier option. These wedges are made with the potato skins left on. I think this gives them a bit more flavour those without the skin and of course, everyone knows all the goodness of a potato is in the skin, again making them a little more nutritious. The skins also crisp up nicely in the oven. They are called 'spicy' and there is a dusting of orangey spice on them - a little chilli powder maybe, although it just says 'spices' on the label. However, they are not hot at all, the spice is very mild and just adds a bit of ... Read the complete review
