... of texture. They are not too greasy, but in my opinion they are more greasy than many other Walkers crisps. They are quite thickly cut and very crunchy. They do not go mushy when you eat them. They do not get stuck in your teeth. Walkers crisps are the best. This flavour though is quite odd. For me, the only Chinese food flavour that works as a crunchy based snack food is prawn crackers. I love Chinese spare ribs. Their flavour is nice but more than that, they are really sticky and the flavour works its way ...more

Premium Review Walker's Chinese Spare Rib Crisps: Walk(er) to the Chinese Takeaway (915 words)

Following their gorgeous 'Great British Tastes' range (you know, the Marmite, Cheddar & Branston and Ketchup flavour crisps that were brought out to coincide with the Golden Jubilee), 2003 realy is Walkers year. I'm going to forgive them for their revolting attempt at vanilla flavoured crisps in light of amazing new developments. Earlier this year they introduced the gorgeous Sensations range, quickly followed by Sensations Oriental Crackers - also delicious. Even their Baked Bean crisps were tastier than they sounded. But tonight I was stood in the off licence and while I was in the queue grabbed a couple of bags of BBQ flavoured crisps. I got to ...  Read the complete review

Seeing as I have done an op on the sweet n sour crisps I thought I better follow up with the other flavours in the multipack... so here is my second offering in the Great British Takeaway crisps section! These ones come in a brown bag with the usual logo of a big yellow circle with Walkers on a red background going over it... there is swirly pattern on the bag, like the one on the sweet n sour bag.. but I still think it is more Celtic than Chinese! There is a paper bag telling me it is chinese spare rib flavour and a picture of a couple of crisps that look a bit like what is actually in the bag! Now you know which bag to avoid let me explain why... ...  Read the complete review

I had a packet of Walkers Spare Rib crisps ages and ages ago. I had forgotten all about them until I saw them on here. I felt compelled to write a review about how gross they were - just to get it out of my system and so i can go back to pretending I never ate them! Are you getting an idea about how disgusting they are yet? They are traditional Walkers crisps and so are pretty nice in terms of texture. They are not too greasy, but in my opinion they are more greasy than many other Walkers crisps. They are quite thickly cut and very crunchy. They do not go mushy when you eat them. Following on from my last review on the Walkers Chicken Tikka flavour crisps, I felt it necessary to review this flavour as well. In preperation for this review, I have consumed a number of packets of these crisps, which are very nice!! This flavour is in the Walkers Great British Takeaway range, with 2 other flavours, the Chicken Tikka, and Sweet and Sour (remember to read my review of the Chicken Tikka ones). These crisps are basically your bog standard walkers crisps, but with a nice flavour. They come in the same size packes, and cost the same. They are normal potato crisps with the usual kind of nutritional values (i.e they're ...  Read the complete review
