Advantages: Healthy because you'll bin them and not eat them!
Disadvantages: Taste hidious
So as a lot of you will all know, a while ago Walkers brought out a competition to find out a new flavour of crisps - their 'Do us a flavour' range. They consisted of Cajun Squirrel, Chilli & Chocolate, Crispy Duck & Hoi Sin, Fish & Chips, Onion Bhaji and Builders Breakfast. I believe the campaign lasts until May this year.
So, Builders Breakfast. They come in a light blue with red edging packet with a little picture of a full English on it. I'm not the healthiest of eaters so I do enjoy the odd fry. However, my least favourite element of a fry up is the egg (can you see where this is going???). Can anyone guess what sole ingredient of a builders breakfast was apparent when eating these Walkers crisps?? Yes, of course they tasted of pure egg!! Now I've always prided myself on being able to eat any confectionery or crisp, as none of them taste that bad that I can't finish a packet. I can no longer make that claim. I barely managed half a standard multipack sized (25g) packet of these fiends!! They taste awful. Now I can only imagine that builders aren't all egg loving freaks (though perhaps they are?) so why oh why did walkers forget to add the sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, potato bread, soda etc flavouring to these crisps????
They had the standard crispyness of other Walkers crisps, they just lacked any sort of nice taste.
So, before you buy any Builders Breakfast crisps, please listen to my warning, unless you are a egg flavour loving sort, then go ahead and knock yourself out, you will love these!!
Summary: Eggy crisps - bleurgh!!
