Advantages: Voted nations favourite, variety of flavours

Disadvantages: Bad smell, very eggy, should get rid of the stronger flavours

I am a little disappointed the builders breakfast crisps from walkers won the vote to be introduced as the latest addition to packs of Walkers crisps. I don't have anything seriously against them, but when I tried them the first smell I got from the packet was a strong whiff of egg. I had hoped that they would not taste like egg too, as the am the kind of person that can eat eggs but not stand the smell of eggs in things like mayonnaise, salad cream and that general bad smell of raw eggs.

If the smell of the egg had not been so strong, then maybe I would have enjoyed them far more. The crisps could certainly do with much less flavouring for the taste of eggs. To me they tasted very different to what I expected, I'd have much prefered the smell of bacon and sausage rather than eggs. There is also quite a strong, distinctive taste of tomato ketchup included too, but this is much more difficult to smell. The strong mix of tastes may appeal to some people, but to those like me the stronger tastes of some flavous should be removed if they want to attract more people to eat them.

I am quite disappointed that fish and chips didn't win, they were certainly my personal favourite. They were also the most british of all the new flavours, so I'd have thought that would have helped them to win as well, but it just wasn't to be.

Overall, having tried all 5 flavours, I would not say that the builders breakfast is in my top half of the list, but neither is it in the bottom half. If they had taken away most of the bad strong flavours, I would certainly be more tempted to buy a packet.

Summary: A nice idea but way to strong in egg for me

I quite liked these, but I do agree the egg flavouring is too strong, it repeated on me for hours after I had eaten them.
