Advantages: tastes great

Disadvantages: more expensive than 'normal' flavours

I do have an unhealthy obsession with crisps and was quite intrigued when the six new flavours of Walkers crisps came out. The first flavour I tried were the Builder's Breakfast flavour.

Packaging
The packaging is pretty similar to that of all the Walkers crisps except the packet is actually quite a big bigger which is probably why they end up being slightly more expensive than the normal flavours. There is a picture of a cooked English breakfast on the front and the items have been arranged on the plate to look like a smiling face.

Cost
I bought my packet from a local sandwich shop where they cost 60p a packet which I didn't think was a little on the expensive side.

Smell
I was quite surprised to find that these crisps did smell remarkably like a full English breakfast. You can definitely smell the sausage and the egg which I thought was pretty amazing considering it was just a packet of crisps.

Taste
As I took my first bite of these crisps, the first two flavours I noticed were the egg and the tomato ketchup. The next flavour I noticed coming through was a meaty flavour such as sausage or bacon although to be honest, I am not sure which as I think these favours can sometimes taste similar in crisps.
After reading the back of the packet, I discovered that 'buttered toast' was meant to be another flavour that you could taste in these crisps but to be honest, I didn't really notice it. I did, however think that the egg tasted slightly buttery, a bit like scrambled eggs.

Summary
I must admit that after buying these, I wasn't really sure if I would like them, or if they would taste anything like a 'Builder's Breakfast'. I was amazed that you could taste the various flavours all in one bag of crisps and especially amazed that the egg tasted so real. It was quite odd tasting egg on crisps but no unpleasantly so. I couldn't have been the only person who enjoyed this flavour of crisps as this flavour won the competition.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Summary: The winner for me!

I enjoyed the Cajun Squirrel flavour very much, but unfortunately I haven't tried the Builder's Breakfast yet.

Good review. :D
