Advantages: probably wont last that long.

Disadvantages: Just...awful, I mean...really really awful.

You could see what Walkers were going for with this flavour, but it really doesn't come across well. Builders Breakfast Crisps were the winners of a poll from the public in order to decide on one of six new flavours to be sold the whole year round. It seems the idea of this one was to make a bag of crisps that tasted like sausage bacon egg and beans combined. The result as you can imagine is less than pleasant.

Although they have the same nutritional value as any other Walkers variety, and are naturally made with sunseed rather than the old style Walkers brand, they are definitely the most unpleasant.

They have an initial familiar tang comparable to that of the steak and onion variety but leave a tremendously stale texture. This is then followed up with a really unpleasant eggy aftertaste that is almost enough to make one gag. They also seem to embody an element of rotten vegetables which I really can't seem to put my finger on. The appeal also is pretty uncertain, I imagine people just really want to try a new flavour, sadly without the knowledge that they are utterly rancid.

Many people have voiced a similar opinion to mine, and I have seen Builders Breakfast Crisps reduced in various supermarkets due to lack of popular demand. I expect that these crisps will be discontinued after what is ultimately their "Trial year."
