Advantages: Great if you like bacon crisps!

Disadvantages: Lack of cheese flavouring

***WALKERS***
As we all know Walkers make the popular crisps and Gary Lineker is the face of the company starring in the majority of their advertising campaigns. Their official website states that over 11 million people will eat a walkers product every day!

Walkers do a huge variety of different crisps in different flavours such as their normal well known popular crisps which come in a large range of flavours including Cheese & Onion, Marmite, Steak & Onion, Worcester Sauce and more.

They also do a light range as well which includes only 5 different flavours but includes the popular Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion flavours. They also do the big chunky, crinkled crisps called Max which are available in Chargrilled Steak, Paprika and Cheese & Onion. Of course some of these are just examples of the many snacks and crisps they do, but they do a much wider range that what I have noted here!

***BAKED CRISPS***
These crisps are slowly oven baked to give all the great taste and crunchiness of baking and because they?re not fried they contain 70% less fat. These are also available in the following delicious flavours:

* Ready Salted
* Salt & Vinegar
* Cheese & Onion
* Sour Cream & Onion (these are apparently limited edition)
* Mango Chilli

It also states on the back of the packet that these have 70% less fat that ordinary walkers crisps on average.

***AVALIABILITY/PRICE***
I picked these up in Morrison?s for about £1.35, I have only seen these available in packs of 6 and are also available to buy at the following places.
* Tesco - £1.33
* ASDA - Any 2 packs of 6 for £2.00 (offer valid until 03/03/09)
* Ocado - Any 2 packs of 6 for £2.20 (offer valid until 24/03/09)

(These prices and promotions were taken from mysupermarket.co.uk)

***NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION***
A 25g packet of Bacon & Cheddar baked crisps contain:
* Calories - 99 (5% RDA)
* Sugar - 1.8g (2% RDA)
* Fat - 2.1g (3% RDA)
* Saturates - 0.4g (2% RDA)
* Salt - 0.3g (5% RDA)

***TASTE TESTING***
When opening the bag of crisps you are greeted with a lovely bacon smell, I can?t smell any hint of cheese though! I have to say that the packet looked very empty and there weren?t any crisps in the bag. The crisps themselves are lightly crinkled and they are a golden yellow colour. They are thicker than most crisps and they are more of a Squarerish shape, rather than round.

When putting a crisp into my mouth, they are very crunchy and crisp. You can definitely taste bacon & maybe a slight hint of cheese, but the bacon taste stands out a lot more than the cheese. Personally I think these taste a bit like bacon rashers or those Frazzle crisps!

Now I have finished the bag I have to say that these definitely taste more of bacon than anything else. I can?t say that I tasted much cheese flavour at all!

***OVERALL OPINION***
These definitely aren?t my favourite flavour, out of all the baked crisps. I wouldn?t go out my way to buy these again, how-ever if you are a bacon fan and lot frazzle/bacon rasher crisps you will no doubt like these as well. I got 6 pack of these and I don?t think I would buy these again, I think it?ll take me a few weeks to get through the 5 packs I have left-over, either that or I?ll let my mum & dad eat them instead!

I hate it when they half fill the bags! Such a waste, they should make the bags smaller, they would save money and the cutomer would not feel ripped off:)
Great review!!

Why are the bags always half-empty. It is so disappointing.
