Advantages: taste amazing :)
Disadvantages: none...
These were on offer with the other Baked range of flavours and seeing as how this Bacon & Cheddar is a newer flavour in the range we got a six pack of these and salt & vinegar too...
Sold in a purple wrapper with the Walkers brand name on the front they cost £2.50 at Morrisons for both packs this week.
Advertised as 70% less fat than a normal pack of Walkers crisps, these make a really tasty healthier snack as they are not fried in oil...
The makers bake each crisp twice to get a really dry texture and they do not taste greasy at all :)
Bacon is one of my favourite snack flavours and I love cheese so was interests to try them and see if they were nice and natural tasting...
Each bag weighs 25 g and has only 99 calories in which is a lot less than the usual fried snack.
There are only 1.8g of sugars and 2.1g of fats which is really low. I think these taste better because they are not as oily as the usual type so you can enjoy the flavour more of bacon and cheese without the vegetable fat that walkers normally cook their potato crisps in...
There is a best before date that isn't until Dec so that's good storage time and there are no preservatives or artificial colours in this product as well as being suitable for coeliacs.
Made in the UK I think this type is a really good addition to the range, they are really full of bacon and cheese flavour although I think the bacon overtakes the cheese as it much stronger.
The aftertaste is really pleasant and a pack is enough as they are so strong. There are little ridges in each crisp which makes them interesting and not as boring as normal fried crisps and most are quite big.
I think these are really cool and are worth five stars definitely!
Summary: Try this flavour :)
