I am quite a fan of Walkers cheese and onion crisps, whilst out buying my lunch today, I couldn't buy my regular pack as the shop had sold out, instead I opted for a pack of 'baked' ones. Apparently containing 70% less fat than ordinary Walkers crisps, a healthier option so would give them a go. Upon opening the packet, I don't feel they smell the same as ordinary crisps, and I think I should know, as I do eat a fair few packs. Looking inside, I find a measly amount of crisps and could have done with half the amount of packaging for what was inside. All the crisps are fairly flat and so sit neatly next to each other in the bottom. When you remove ... Read the complete review

I love these crisps and not for the same reasons as most people, these crisps contain less fat and calories as they are baked not fryed but this doesnt make any difference to me except they dont leave a greasy residue on my fingers after eating them which is good i supose. I like the fact that they are ridge cut crisps which has always been a winner for me but these still have the same great taste of cheese and onion as the usual walkers crisps but they are just dryer and dont feel as greasy in your mouth. There are less than 100 calories per bag of these which is a great bonus for anyone on a diet or counting the calories they eat. i was ... Read the complete review

I love crisps, they don't however like me! I am a total poligamist when it come to crisps and indeed flavours for that matter. I am not loyal to a brand or a flavour. I pretty much like all flavours, my least favourite I suppose would be meat flavoured crisps, no idea why, with the exception of Walkers smokey bacon....those rock!!! I rarely buy crisps in the supermarket, as I am a savoury fiend and would eat a family size bag or a 6 pack without flinching much!!! So, I'm in Asda after work last Sunday becuse its the only supermarket thats open until 5 near my office and we had run out of the kids milk. I was tired, fed up and hungry, so in went these ... I've always been a fan of walkers crisps and one of it's lastest creations, the Walkers baked varitey has not disappointed. I first tried these around a month ago and was at first sceptical about what difference being baked would have on the flavour and texture on one of my favorite crisp manufacturers. The result did not disappoint. As with most low fat alternative foods, removing any fattening contents often removes the flavour as well, however, this was definitely not the case with these crisps. The flavour is even tastier than the original variety and the texture has a less greasy feel, with more 'crunch' to the crisp. They are crinkle cut giving a ridged ... Read the complete review

The unique selling point for Walkers 'baked' crisps would have to be that they have 70% less fat than 'ordinary' fried crisps. Now, I couldn't tell you what the fat content of regular crisps is, and while I wouldn't have thought that if you're a person who's trying to lower their fat intake, crisps are the sort of food you should be eating - AT ALL - I suppose this product is to a fat-conscious person or weight-watcher's everyday diet much as those awful diet pop brands are to sugar-filled fizzy drinks; a step in the right direction, that is. In short, I wouldn't have thought that baked crips are going to help anyone actually lose weight because they are, ... Read the complete review
