Advantages: Lower calories

Disadvantages: Strong taste

These crisps are 98 calories a packet which is not too bad I guess for a snack that basically you know is not good for you, sometimes though when eating a sandwich that is a bit dry or boring I have a craving for crisps and so I thought I would give this baked variety a try.

Walkers offer a baked variety in a number of their traditional flavours and I opted for the salt and vinegar ones, they are priced the same as the normal packs although they feel like there are not as many in them for some reason.

The crisps themselves are a golden colour and they have a ridged design, to the touch they are a lot less greasy and more uniform in shape. They are very crunchy when you bite into them and they have a strong vinegar flavour to them which is quite sharp. Personally I wuld like to see them tone down the strength a bit more as they are a bit strong for me and would like something a bit more subtle rather than tasting like they have been drwoned in vinegar.

Having said that I would buy these instead of the standard brand as they are nicer tasting and carry less calories.

Summary: Drowned a bit in vinegar
