Advantages: Delicious taste, nice and crunch, lots of flavouring, not too much salt.

Disadvantages: None.

Walkers Baked crisps are a fairly new style of crisp that is crinkled and baked instead of being fried and this makes them a fair bit lower in fat than the normal salt & vinegar variety and the texture is different as well as the taste. The crisps within the bag are a pretty good size and cut from good quality potatoes. It is very rare to find a bad crisp in your bag and this is great as I don't have to worry about paying any attention when delving in to the bag and wolfing down a whole packet in 2 minutes flat!

I lovely the crinkle design of these crisps and they do hold a great appeal, for me at least, because they have less calories & fat and they still taste very nice and have a fantastic crunch to them.

The crisps come in a foil bag (for freshness) with green colouring (for salt & vinegar). The bag displays the Walkers logo, nutritional information, ingredients and further details on cooking methods, potatoes used and information on Walkers themselves. The bag is very informative and tells you why Baked are different (lower in fat, baked not fried etc) and I am always surprised by just how much information Walkers feel they need to put on each packet!

Once the packet is opened I am met with a nice smell of vinegar instantly. It's nice & strong without being too overpowering but I love strong flavours and everyone has different tastes. The vinegar flavouring is strong and these taste a little different to the usual Walkers salt & vinegar crisps. I think that this might be something to do with the texture of the crisps as well as the slightly changed flavouring as I've found these to have less salt than the normal ones which is fine by me as I much prefer the vinegar.

These may not be for everybody though as they can be a little overpowering for little children, also, people may comment on your breath if you don't brush your teeth afterwards. My favourite way to eat these is to have them with my sandwich at lunchtimes. The crunch goes so well with sandwiches and is just delicious and because these have ridges in them it's far easier to lay them flat in a sandwich and have them stay in place.

I would definitely recommend these as a perfect accompaniment to your lunchtime. These are great as a snack and each bag contains just 98 calories and 2g of fat making these have half the amount of calories or a usual packet and almost 1/5 of the fat! I am a huge fan and this is one of my favourite flavours, I am therefore rating them 5/5. These are available singly or as part of a multi-pack and I paid £1.36 for a variety of 3 different flavours and there were 2 packets of cheese & onion, salt & vinegar and ready salted.

Summary: A delicious baked packet of crisps.
