Advantages: great tasting and great quality
Disadvantages: ?
My favourite flavour of crisp is and always has been pickled onion and for the longest time I could not find a packet of pickled onion crisps anywhere unless they were monster much or a similar type of corn snack.
I like monster munch but I much prefer my pickled onion flavouring to come from a traditional potato crisp.
Around a week ago I was in my local store getting a few bits and pieces and to my right hand side I spotted a box of Walkers pickled onion crisps, they were waiting to be put out on display so I instantly asked the shopkeeper if he could open the box so I could get some, he did and I think he was shocked to see me take ten packets.
I am sure he will probably stock them for a while but I was taking no chances and stocked up my kitchen cupboard with them. Walker's crisps as I am sure everyone knows are very crunchy and always of the highest quality and these pickled onion ones were no different.
The pickled onion flavouring was strong just as it should be and immediately had me salivating as they always had before, the flavour can catch the back of the throat a bit but i do not mind that at all. It is very tangy and totally delicious.
These cost me 46p per packet and I am happy to pay that even though I do generally think crisps are too expensive these days. Each 34g packet contains 181 calories and 11.4g of fat so I know I should not eat too many of them but I no doubt will any way!
Summary: Highly, highly recommended!
