A pot of this Doritos Cool Sour Cream & Chive Dip will usually set you back £1.47 per 300g pot but they are currently on offer in Tesco for 3 for £3.50. This deal includes the large share packs of Doritos tortilla chips so you can mix and match which I think is great. I picked up two bags of Chilli Heatwave Doritos and a tub of this for my £3.50 and along with a bag of popcorn we were all set for our DVD night.


This dip is in a generous sized tub that will easily serve a large family for the night or a couple for a few nights. You can keep it in the fridge for a few days after use though it does need to be eaten up well inside a week because it's sour cream which of course goes off once opened.


I particularly liked the sensation of this cool dip against the spicy crisps as I thought it was a really good contrast. The sour cream flavour is really solid and the chives give it that extra twist. I thought there was a bit of onion about this too though it's definetely more creamy than anything else. The texture is just right and a good consistency for dipping crisps into. It's thick enough to hold onto the crisp without being so thick you can't get your crisp through it.


I think this is a very good product and a very reasonable price too when you consider how expensive it is to buy regular sour cream on its own.
