Walkers Doritos Chilli Heatwave

... a six pack multi-pack of these crisps in Asda which cost £1.30. ***Chilli Heatwave Crisps*** As soon as you open the bag of Doritos you are hit with a very pleasant chilli scent. Walkers Sensations also have a chilli flavour which I think is a very sweet and sickly flavour. The Dorito Chilli Heatwave have a very different chilli scent. It is more savoury and not at all a sickly sweet scent, in fact it is very much like Mexican food mixed with a hint of Jalapeños. The crisps are a triangle tortilla shape....more

Premium Review Walkers Doritos Chilli Heatwave: Chilli Overload! (548 words)

Doritos Chilli Heatwave are Mexican style chips from the Walkers Crisps company. Packaging The Doritos Chilli Heatwave come in a bright red bag which stands out vastly from the Blue and Orange of the other two bags, the red is very distinct and helpful if you were to guess what flavour was in the bag you probably would pick a hot chilli one! The Doritos logo is quite fun and includes a blue triangle chip surrounding the D and O and there is a nice triangular chip which dots the I in Doritos. Below the logo you will be told the flavour of the bag. The background of the packet is quite fun and has some modern 3d prism shapes which make it seem ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A Heatwave all year around (592 words)

I was thinking back to when I was in sixth form and remembered quite randomly that on a daily basis I would consume at least two bags of Dorito Chilli Heatwave crisps (and two Smarties bars) I'm not sure what is more shocking, that for two years I kept up this eating habit never sickening myself with these snacks or that I never put on a pound in weight and remained so skinny. So after reminiscing about how great it was to be 18 I decided to purchase a bag of Doritos Chilli Heatwave from my local newsagents. Big mistake..... I soon realised how addictive these crisps can be. ***Packaging*** The Chilli Heatwave crisps come in a 30g bag, a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Walkers Doritos Chilli Heatwave: My mouth is on fire!! (not) (309 words)

Doritos Chilli Heatwave are crisps made by Walkers. A pack of Doritos Chilli Heatwave crisps comes in a red bag which represents the fiery burning heat of the chilli flavoured crisps inside! They've also put some vaguely fiery patterns up and down the pack to reinforce the flavouring. Also included on the packet in text are the Doritos brand logo and the flavouring Chilli Heatwave. Once you open the bag which is foil sealed for maximum freshness you will get a rather sweet chilli aroma, it's rather nice really! Doritos are triangular shapes and nothing has changed here except for the coating which is now a deeper shade of red than on ...  Read the complete review

I won't buy Doritos any longer because I generally find most flavours far too moreish & once I tuck in.... I was sorting out my teenage daughter's washing last night & found she hadn't finished the bag of Chilli Heatwave ones that were opened just an hour before - so for Dooyoo purposes you understand - I decided to try one or two (etc). I hadn't seen this flavour before so didn't recognise the packaging which is a dark red heat-sealed foil one with Big Eat (55g) Chilli Heatwave with a picture of yummy Doritos which look good enough to eat. When opened the smell of chilli & salt hits you plus there's a somewhat sweet aroma ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Walkers Doritos Chilli Heatwave: Too Hot to Handle (290 words)

I don't know what it is with me and these crisps, but I can't make up my mind if I like them or not! When I eat them, I find that they're really spicey with a thick, curt chilli flavour to them. In fact a lot of the time I'll dip them in the Doritos Sour Cream Dip just to cool them off a bit. I like that they're almost sweet, but not quite, and the way the spices fire up my taste buds while I'm eating them. What I'm not so keen on is the burning sensation in my poor mouth when I've eaten some of these. It doesn't matter how much dip I eat with them, or how much lager I down after eating them - they still leave my mouth on fire for a good twenty minutes ...  Read the complete review
