I have written quite a few reviews on crisps and products that fall into this category. I love made of foil and recyclable. On the front a photograph of 2 tortillas and in white bold writing I'm clearly told that they are indeed Doritos and that the flavour is Cool Original and on the right hand side I'm given an at a glance nutritional chart. On the back I'm given full nutritional table, ingredients, best before date, size, and contact details for Walkers (the manufacturer of Doritos).

My Opinion...

Delicious and filling, with much more to them than crisps! Appearance wise they are triangles and golden in colour with black flecks (must be corn) running throughout giving them a nice smooth and rough texture. They are made, slightly toasted then fried to be a bit more healthier and so are not greasy in any way shape or form. Taste wise, they taste quite salty making them moreish but no salt is visible. Flavour wise they are full of flavour! Slightly cheesy with a creamy undertone that goes so well with the texture. They are robust which makes them almost perfect quality upon opening and you don't open the packet to a pile of dust but most are perfectly formed. They are a tough little snack which makes them perfect for dipping and Walkers do make dips and some shops make their own versions which are perfect for these as they arn't overpowering in taste. Slightly messy on the fingers as some of the flavour does get stuck on them as you eat but its no major problem! No strange aftertaste and no honky breath!

Overall...

At 39p a bag (which is what I paid in a local shop), they are a prefect to ward off of hunger pangs. I feel like I've actually eaten something after a bag of these! Do beware of buying them in 6's or party bag size as they are so moreish that before you know it you'll have devoured the lot. Really tasty, crunchy and tangy, if you haven't tried these what are you waiting for eh?!
