Advantages: Great taste and a super crunch!
Disadvantages: Too many calories sadly.
Doritos although found in the crisp aisles in stores are not actually crisps, they are more tortilla chips and as such are a corn based snack rather than a potato based one.
Now that we have got that out the road I can go on to tell you how fantastic they are and especially the Cool original flavoured ones.
The cool original flavour is a strange beast, it does not really taste like anything else I have ever tasted yet it has a somewhat distinctive taste if that makes any sense?
It is almost like they do taste of something but I have no idea what, I just know it is delicious.
The flavouring on these is very strong but that is a good thing as it is so nice, the Doritos chips themselves are crunchy but in a totally different way from the crunch you get from potato crisps, potato crisps have a sharp crunch where the crunch from these is a dry blunt crunch, again I don't know if I am making sense to anyone else but I know what I mean LOL!
These are slightly healthier than potato crisps but only just, a 40g bag contains 200 calories and over 11g of fat so they are by no means healthy, just healthier. I strongly recommend these delicious snacks to everyone but try not to over indulge in them which might be hard as they are very moreish!
The cool original ones come in a blue packet but look out for the other flavour of Doritos too as they are all very nice tasting snacks!
Summary: A must try snack.

- 08/07/09 Hmmm... They're okay, but if you're calling them "almost orgasmic" I think you're doing it wrong! x |

- 08/07/09 I like these for a change but am more of a plain jane when it comes to Dorito's, I love dipping the lightly salted one's in sour cream - yummy - Catherine x :) |
