***Packaging***

Cool Original flavoured Doritos come in a bag which is bright in colour and attention grabbing. This a black packet with a bright turquoise blue strip across the bag. Doritos is written in large white font on the front of the bag with an image of a triangle tortilla crisps underneath.

***Price***

A 30g bag of Doritos costs 40p in my local newsagents which is the same price as other bags of Walkers crisps. A 6 pack of 30g bags costs £1.39 in Asda. There are currently an offer on at Asda which has 3 multipacks for £3 therefore 18 bags of Doritos for £3 which is reasonable value for money.

However Doritos are slightly more expensive than other tortilla crisps and most of the supermarkets, in particular Tesco and Asda offer very similar flavoured tortilla crisps for half the price of Doritos.


***Cool Original Doritos***

When you open the bag you are immediately hit with quite a peppery yet tangy scent. The crisps in appearance are a lot more golden than the other flavours of Doritos and the colourings look a lot less unnatural and the tortillas are not covered in an unnatural coloured dust. (Those that have tried the tangy cheese flavoured Doritos will know what I am talking about).

As soon as you bite into the Dorito crisp you will notice how crunchy it is. The taste that hits you immediately is quite peppery and lightly spicy with a light golden flavour. As you chew the crisp you can taste herbs and the aftertaste is very light and quite peppery but quite salty. The Cool Original Dorritos are probably the plainest tasting crisps from the range of Doritos flavours in my opinion however are very tasty.

***Overall***

These are certainly not my favourite flavour of Doritos and I am still yet to find a crisp which beats the Chilli Heatwave flavour but the Cool Original flavour do make a good snack and are not at all repulsive like the Dorito Tangy Cheese flavour are.

The Cool Original tortilla crisps are crunchy with a lightly spicy flavour with a slight tang to them. These are perfect as a snack on there own or great to dunk in dips. For those who are cash conscious for the cost you can get similar products from the supermarkets own brands which taste just as good therefore 4 out of 5.

Summary: A great tortilla crisp with a subtle flavour
