Advantages: Unlike any crisp you've tasted...
Disadvantages: ...this could be a good or a bad thing!
Fish and Chips is the 4th of the new Walkers 'Do me a Flavour' editions that I have tried and I simply cannot decide whether I like it or not!
I thought I would like Fish and Chips most, I had preconceptions that they would taste like Scampi and Lemon Nik Naks or those Scampi flavoured fries, as these are the only 'fishy' crisps I know of and I love both. There is a hint of those in the flavour mixed in with Salt and vinegar and I'm not entirely sure whether it works. Of course what you are getting here is really a fish flavoured crisps, being crisps I guess the chip is already there! They certainly do taste authentic, you get fish and salt and vinegar taste and smell, a very strong smell. I would advse eating these alone or in an open space as the whiff is quite pungent. I think you can safely say if you don't like fish you will not like these, if you do I think you'll be torn. I will have to give them points for being unlike anything I've tasted before, which is quite an achievment considering all the crisps flavours out there. Also, I managed to finish the pack, becoming more intrigued by every mouthful but not entirely enjoying them! Maybe it something to get used to.
Calorie content and fat content for those of you counting is as depressing reading as the other flavours. A 46g bag contains 240 and 15g Fat. I'm punishing my waistline and why, because of curiousity.. damn you Walkers!
I'm not sure where to rank these ...
Summary: Extra star for not being boring and predictable
