Advantages: Interesting and fun

Disadvantages: Fails to do much for your taste buds, a weaker version of 'Salt & Vinegar'

This is one of the latest flavours from 'Walkers' as part of a campaign for a new addition to the product line where consumers can vote for their favourite flavour.

Firstly I find it hard to define the flavour 'Fish & Chips' and that's maybe the start of why this isn't such a good flavour. Typically, fish and chips go hand in hand with salt and vinegar, and we all know that there is already this flavour in many variations from many brands already available in supermarkets.

I found that this packet just offers a toned down version of 'Walkers Salt and Vinegar' flavour. There's less salt, and more focus is on the vinegar, which is nice, because I often find that the salt is sometimes a little strong and over powering. Unfortunately, though they fail to present us with a flavour that is really yummy and unique, I find it hard to decide how best they should have done this, and find it hard to decide what's missing in the flavour. 'Fish & Chips' covers so many flavours, and I feel they had already failed before they started when they chose to create this flavour.

I bought this packet along with the other five flavours in the campaign:

- Builder's Breakfast
- Cajun Squirrel
- Chilli & Chocolate
- Crispy Duck & Hoisin
- Onion Bharji

The pack of six, offering two packets of three flavours was on offer from my local Somerfield at a 'Buy one get one free' deal for £1 a pack.

This isn't the one I would vote for as it doesn't do much for the taste buds, and although I can't quite decide what is missing in this flavour, there certainly is something. If however you disagree, you can vote for free by texting "FISH" to 51199.

Summary: One of the campaign flavours from Walkers, unfortunately this doesn't get my vote.
