I am usually someone who goes shopping with a very precise list and doesn't really like to mix it up or it will confuse me on if I'm overspending or not. However a lot of us students don't seem to know what to buy to keep healthy or to survive on but I am slowly learning but you can't blame me for wanting the odd unhealthy things like crisps and chocolate which of course I do like to buy every so often. I fancied a different flavour crisp today than the usual ones I go for (salt and vinegar, cheese and onion etc) so when I saw the tomato ketchup flavour in the shop I decided to buy them. Walkers crisps have been around now for well over 60 years now. A gentleman called Henry Walker took over a butchers shop in the 1880's but after the second World War he saw production go down and had to look for other ways to make money. I always seem to try different crisps all the time or go for the Walkers Multi Pack of 18 because i'm happy to eat any of the flavours. But then I seen Tomato Ketchup flavour in the shop and decided to buy these as I used to love tomato flavoured crisps. So I decided just to buy the one bag. In the original walkers bags with the walkers symbol on the front (yellow sun, red banner and white writing) they're quite easy to miss next to all the othe walkers bags on the shelf. I usually buy a pack of crisps to go with my sandwich from my work vending machine, but as they cost 40p a pack, it works out much cheaper buying a multipack. When out shopping I noticed the Tomato Ketchup flavour, and was sure I'd had them years back and loved them, so put a multipack in my basket. These are not simply tomato ketchup flavoured, they are Heinz tomato ketchup flavoured, and the combination of what is arguably the best manufacturer of ketchup along with arguably the best manufacturer of crisps, make you expect a good quality product. I like to eat crisps and if you've read some of my other reviews, particularly my top ten sandwiches then you'll no that I absolutely adore ketchup!! I like to put it on everything and before these crisps came out I even tried putting it on crisps. It tasted pretty good actually, although it took away the taste of crisp quite a lot. So when Walkers Heinz Tomato Ketchup Flavour Crisps came out I just had to try them.
