I recently wrote a review on the subject of Walkers Ready Salted Crisps and I began with the sentence 'There's no crisp like Walkers'. I also said at the end of the review that I had tried Walkers Lights and didn't find them as nice as the standard version. However as I read the review back I realised that maybe at 133 calories and 8.5g of fat per pack they weren't as healthy as they might be so I decided that it was time to try another pack of Walkers Lights to see if my tastes had changed or the crisps had improved for me. As I have said in other reviews it has to be Ready Salted for me, I can't even stand the smell of most of the flavours let ... Read the complete review

I do tend to eat crisps with my lunch at work, and usually buy the full fat Walkers ready salted crisps from the vending machine. When I was in Somerfield last week I noticed that the Walkers Lights Simply Salted crisps were half price, as well as having an extra 25% discount as they were nearing their use-by date. At only 52p for 6 packs, I couldn't really refuse the offer, as the ones I buy from the vending machine at work are 40p for just one pack. Walkers lights are the lower fat version of Walkers crisps. They come in a red foil pack which is not too dissimilar from the regular walkers crisps. It states on the pack that compared to Walkers ... Read the complete review

While I usually enjoy their crisps, I'm afraid to say that this campaign has produced six flavours that I haven't actually been all that impressed with. Unfortunately, the same goes for these crisps. Walkers have intended here to go for a crisp that is lighter, and ultimately better for you. And, no, you cynics, they haven't just put less crisps in the bag! What they have done is create a crisp that feels like it is healthier when you start eating. However, it also feels like ... Read the complete review

Walkers are the undisputed giants of the crisp world, with a wide range of flavours and varieties (most of which are fantastic). However walkers lights are in my opinion pretty disappointing. What sets the lights apart from their regular counterparts is that they contain 33% less fat. Unfortunately the curse of the low fat content is a very low flavour content also. The packet design is very similar to regular walkers except with a blue sort of leaf shaped emblem. Im pretty slim (for a guy thats not really a good thing) and although i wish i was a bit tubbier it can be good not having to worry about gaining too much weight. It means i ...
