Advantages: Yummy
Disadvantages: None at all. To me they're perfection in every way!
Anyone who regularly reads my reviews will know how much I love crisps, I just adore them! I stumbled across these in my local convenience store and I'm sure I've become addicted! I just love em!
The Packaging....
50g orangey/pinky colour foil packet. On the front I'm told they are indeed Walkers, Max Deep Ridge Potato Crisps and that information is on a crisp which is the background picture. On the top left hand corner of the packet I'm told 'Sunseed, Naturally, Lower In Saturates'. Then bottom right hand corner I'm shown an at a glance nutritional chart. Then on the right hand side of the packet I'm told' Max flavour, Paprika flavoured ridge crisps. The back of the packet is white and I'm told a bit about the product, given a bar-code and contact details for Walkers and the size is stated again (as I've listed already), the recycle symbol is displayed, full
nutritional chart is shown, ingredients are listed and the best before date is stamped on there as well. The review photograph is exactly the same as the product I buy.
About The Product....
Because they are cooked in sunseed oil, which is naturally low in saturates. The bag of great tasting Walkers Max Crisps has 1.5g of saturated fat, that's 8% of your guideline daily amount.
Suitable for vegetarians.
No artificial colours
The Crisps....
So yummy! I just love them. From the moment I open the bag I start to drool with a slight sweet waft of smoky meat tantalising me. The crisps themselves are cream in colour and thicker that the average walkers crisps. Cream in colour lots of deep wedges and partially coated in an orange flavouring which is thicker in some places than others.
To the taste they are always incredibly fresh and deeply crunchy. These are more than a snack. They are actually rather filling. Taste wise they aren't what I was first expecting when I read they were paprika flavoured. In fact to me they don't taste of paprika at all. The flavour to me is rather like a meat flavour, maybe bacon and and very smoky with a hint of natural sweet. Nicely seasoned as well I just rate them as the perfect crisp really!
Not at all greasy and leave no nasty after taste they are really pleasant and very, very moreish!
Expect to pay around 50p per bag and can be found in all sorts of places! My shop actually keeps selling out of them so i can only assume they are very popular indeed!
