... days gone by they were made by Smith's although now they belong to the extended Walkers family. The major draw of these things also happens to be their only downfall. They're incredibly light (each pack weighing a rather paltry 16g) on the one hand this is good as they're not too heavy to eat but on the other hand if you're actually hungry you'll struggle to be filled up by one bag. Despite their inability to satisfy a hungry tummy I have to reccomend these crisps as they are absolutely delicious and do have a really...more

Premium Review Walkers Quavers: Quirky, curious and curly snacks! (476 words)

I'm not ever so keen on giving my daughters crisps as snacks. I think these days you hear so much about e numbers and the effects these have but it's also very hard to resist the pleadings of young children especially when they see their friends eating such things. Therefore I do sometimes buy Walkers Quavers which they seem to like and so do I. Quavers are not like traditional crisps although they are described on the packet as 'a light textured potato snack. One of the things that my children like about quavers is that they are very curly. They like looking at the funny shapes and this seems to make these snacks more attractive too them. I also like the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Crisps or snacks? You decide! (749 words)

If you've read any of my reviews you will know by now I am a big lover of food! Particularly, sadly, food which is very bad for me! I've always been a savoury person. Aparantly when I was a child Mum would occasionally try to give me some sweets or a cake as a treat from a cake shop and according to her I'd sling it at her. By a couple of years old she had got the message, Melanie (me) wanted sausage roll and crisps please lol I haven't changed. I do like the occasional bar of chocolate and slab of cake but if I have choice of starter and main course or main course and dessert all my family choose first option lol (I'm not a piglet. Although I love food I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Walkers Quavers: Cheesy Curls - Can't Help Myself (579 words)

I'm a sucker when it comes to snacks, big kid at heart and I can never resist when I go into the shop. Being on a diet at the moment, I have cut out a lot of the rubbish that I eat, however I fancied a snack today, was a little fed up of the tuna that I have been scoffing and just wanted some form of crisps. Quavers being one of the healthier options, not by much, I opted for them, not just a small bag though, I went for the big eat as a treat. Quavers have been around for years, and are made by Walkers. When I was younger I never really liked them much, I found them a bit boring, but as I have got older they have turned into one of the snacks that I prefer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Quavers - A crisp sensation! (388 words)

Yum, what could be nicer than a lovely light, melt in the mouthy, cheesy flavoured packet of crisps. Every once in a while I like to have a break from my usual Walkers regular crisps and always turn to Quavers! They have actually been around now for over 30 years! In 2007 Quavers, along with a number of other Walkers crisp products, were repackaged to include the fact that they are now made with Sunseed oil. This is apparently one of the healthiest oils that you can cook with. According to the back of the Quavers packet Sunseed is naturally high in mono-unsaturates and naturally low in saturates! It claims that the crisps now have 80% less ...  Read the complete review
