Walkers Cheese Quavers
I am a big fan of all things cheesy and these beautiful little curly corn snacks are perfect to fulfil my cheesy cravings that I seem to get on a regular basis. They have been around for as long as I can remember and I have enjoyed them since day one.
They come either in single bags or you can buy multi pack bags from larger supermarkets. For a single bag of Walkers Quavers you will be paying out a price of around 40pence, which I do believe is about average for a single bag of crisps nowadays. They come in the well known bight yellow bag and contain a mere 17grams of food but since they are so light and airy you seem to get a good amount in a bag.
As soon as you open the bag of quavers you are hit with an overpowering cheese smell which is not particularly a nice aroma to be smelling until you begin eating and then you become so immune to the strength of the cheese and begin to enjoy the wonderfully strong flavours which are released upon eating these little beauties.
The cheese flavour itself is very, very nice and is totally different to the cheese flavour of say Wotsits. The flavour is strong yet not cheddar strong and the way the Quavers literary seem to melt upon the tongue is truly wonderful.
The shape of these quavers, which is a very squiggly, makes it rather difficult to eat them sometimes especially when you find an overly large one. The whole packet is enjoyable to eat however and I believe a great snack for any cheese lover.
The fact that a single bag of these Walkers Quavers is also under a 100 calories is another bonus in my view and gives you the opportunity to eat more than one bag in one sitting!
I should think that most people out there have at some point in their life tried these Walkers Quavers and most probably enjoyed eating them but if you have to try the delicious cheesy snacks that these are I suggest you pop them in your shopping trolley next shopping trip.
Summary: a greta cheese snack

Condici - 14/04/07 I love the other flavours they did of these too - especially the salt & vinegar ones. Anyone know where they still sell them?? |
