As I was sitting wondering what I could possibly review next, I felt hungry. So I went into the cupboard and took out a packet of crisps before returning to the computer. I was still wondering what I could review before I thought, "Why don't I just review the crisps." So here I am, writing this review on Walkers Roast Chicken Crisps. Having never done a review on any food or drink before, I will appreciate any comments. :)

Walkers Roast Chicken crisps come in an orange packet. The packet that I am consuming at this minute is from a multipack, and therefore has the words "Multipack bag, not for individual Sale" Printed in red in a yellow strip at the bottom. The packet also boasts the Walkers' logo and the words "Roast Chicken" and then underneath in smaller print "flavour potato crisps". The back of the 25g packet is in white with black writing, which makes it easier to read. It has a small story about rain and farmers, but I have never paid attention to that before writing this review. The important thing, to me anyway, is that Walkers' crisps are cooked with sun seed oil, making them naturally high in mono-unsaturates and lower in saturates. I don't exactly know what mono-unsaturates are but I do know that saturates are bad, and the lower the better! The rest of the back is taken up with nutritious information and ingredients. I will state them at the end of the review.

You're probably thinking, "Who cares about the packet, what do they taste like?" well, as soon as you open the packet you can smell the distinctive roast chicken crisp smell that spills out. It doesn't smell like a really chicken but it's not far from a good roast.

As soon as you put the first crisp in your mouth, you get a strong succulent taste. The taste is unique in the way that it doesn't taste like a roast chicken. But if you tried the crisps then you would know that they were roast chicken flavour. If that makes sense.
Once you start eating these crisps, you just can't stop. I always feel like I need another packet, even though that probably wouldn't be good for me. I love to lick up every last crumb and my cat even enjoys liking my fingers after I have eaten them. (I don't think that is too good for her).

These crisps are suitable for vegetarians! I'm not a vegetarian, but my sister is. I always thought that eating these crisps was kind of cheating, as she will not eat chicken, but she will eat crisps that taste like a chicken.

These crisps cost around 40p for a single bag. I don't know the price for a multipack, but they come in 6 packs of Roast Chicken flavour, 12 packs of mixed flavours and 24 packs of mixed flavours too.
The price is pretty reasonable in my opinion as they are great crisps.

I said at the start that I would include nutritious information so here it is:
Per 25g bag,

Energy -131Kcal
Protein -1.6g
Carbohydrate -12.5g
of which is sugars- 0.5g
Fat- 8.3g
of which is saturates-0.6g
of which is mono-unsaturates- 6.5g
Fibre -1.0g
Sodium- 0.2g
Equivalent as salt- 0.4g

I also said I would l state the ingredients,

Potatoes, Sunflower Oil (33%), Roast Chicken Flavour (flavouring, whey powder (from milk), flavour enhancers (monosodium glutamate (from wheat), disodium 5- ribonucleotide), Yeast Extract (from barley), colour (Paprika Extract), Salt, Potassium Chloride.

All in all these are a great tasting snack.

Would definitely recommend them :)
