Old people on the site will probably remember the days when this was how crisps came to you, you actually added your own salt rather than the cisps coming already salted like they do these days. Salt and Shake by Walkers are an attempt to bring back that idea and in my opinion they just tend to prove that many times progress is a good thing and those that hark back to the good old days are looking at it through rose tinted spectacles. With these crisps what you get is some bland tasting crisps and a little blue packet of salt similar in size to the ones you get in service stations, if as I did you get a packet with no blue packet in it then you ... Salt Shake Eat Yummm! Walkers Salt and shake crisps are a really nice snack to eat when your a bit peckish, Walkers make the crisps not but they got the idea of smiths. Salt and shake crisps are basicly just plain crisps with no flavor but you get given a little bluey purple packet with salt in and you add that to make them a nice salty flavor. ~~~Taste~~~ Personally i think they taste alright before you put the salt in but they are even nicer when you add the salt. To add the salt u simply open the packet take out the bluey salt packet cut of the top and pour the salt into the crisp packet, then hold the top of the packet and shake them, to be ... Salt & Shake is from the 'walkers' brand of crisps, they come in a white and blue pack and can be bought individually for about 50p and for about £2 for a set of 6. You can probably guess what you have to do with salt and shake to get them to taste nice, yes you got it, you have to add the salt to the crisps and shake the packet about to add salt to all crisps as evenly as possible. If you eat these crisps without the salt added they are very plain and don't really taste of anything other than the potatoes there made from. The problem with these crisps is that the salt really doesn't get spread about well enough and you end up with too much salt on some of ... Read the complete review

Walkers Salt & Shake Description: Walkers Salt & Shake crisps come with their own sachet of salt so that you can add as liitle or as much as you like to your crisps, perfect if you are on a low salt diet. These crisps are totally plain, so you can add your own salt (provided in each pack in a small blue sachet) according to taste. They come in white packets with a blue label saying "Walkers Salt & Shake" on the front. They have been around for ages (I remember them as a child when they were made by Smiths) so chances are that you have seen them or tried them. A 30g bag of these crisps costs around £0.45 and you ... Read the complete review

As both my daughters no longer live at home permanently I've cut down on my purchases of biscuits & crisps because I know I'll 'pig out' on them in the evenings when watching TV! However I wouldn't be popular if I didn't have them in the cupboard waiting for them on their regular visits. I'm constantly surprised when I buy crisps to see how expensive they are becoming as I'm sure they only cost a few pence a few years ago? - so I'm always on the look out for branded crisps when they're on offer. I've seen 24g packets of Walker's Salt n'Shake for 45p per packet so was pleased to see Iceland had them on offer (2/11) - 3 packs of 6 for £3.50 = 19.4p to my ... Read the complete review
