I have just finished tucking in to a pack of Walker's Salt and Shake, and thought I would share the experience with you. I bought the crisps a few nights ago in Asda, they are in the 3 for £3 range of multipacks - this is a long term offer until at least 31/12/09. What are they all about?: The history behind the crisps, if you ... Read the complete review

Walkers Salt & Shake Description: Walkers Salt & Shake crisps come with their own sachet of salt so that you can add as liitle or as much as you like to your crisps, perfect if you are on a low salt diet. These crisps are totally plain, so you can add your own salt (provided in each pack in a small blue sachet) ... Read the complete review

As both my daughters no longer live at home permanently I've cut down on my purchases of biscuits & crisps because I know I'll 'pig out' on them in the evenings when watching TV! However I wouldn't be popular if I didn't have them in the cupboard waiting for them on their regular visits. I'm constantly surprised when I buy crisps to ... Read the complete review

'Salt and Shake' crisps, that stalwart survivor from the 1930s (or whenever it was that crisps were first invented, because the brand is so ancient that you often get 'Salt & Shake' crisps turning up in 'how-we-used-to-live' museum dioramas, and such like) used to be one of my favourite brands, but it's been literally years since I've seen ... My latest raid of the work snack machine yielded a packet of Walkers "Originally Smiths Salt and Shake crisps". The 30g bag of crisps cost 45p, same as all the other crisps in the machine. These appear to be a rebranded version of the good old salt and shake crisps with the little blue sachets that were popular when I was ... Read the complete review

Walkers salt and shake was a product that I remember coming out quite a few years ago now as a kind of new, old concept, basically bringing back the idea that it was good to have to add your own salt to your crisps. They came in packets just like normal crisps did, and you could also buy them in multipacks too however instead of being ... Read the complete review

Perhaps a bit of a boring Crisp choice, but I love Ready Salted Crisps. So what are these Crisps and are they any different than standard Ready Salted Crisps? Well the Crisps come in a bag with only a flavour sachet in them. So they are just plain Potato Crisps, and they are quite nice with no flavouring on them. You get a little Blue ... Walkers are famous for being the king of crisps (and rightly so). These days, they're competing against their rivals by releasing all sorts of weird flavours, but back in the days when I was a little lad, the salt and shake packs were all that was needed. These are basically a packet of Ready Salted crisps with a packet of salt in it. ... Read the complete review

As with most parents with children of school age there is one thing that will be a staple in their cupboards, perfect to fit into the lunchboxes....ok, so I would have them in the house even without the kids here but for the sake of this review I will blame them! The product I will now review is - "Walkers salt & shake ... Read the complete review

When I was little these crisps were pretty popular and my mum would buy them as part of her weekly shop. These days everyone seems to go for the more flavoursome crisps so you don't often see them around. The crisps are basically a packet of plain Walkers crisps but when you open up the packet you are met with a little packet of salt. ... Read the complete review

Walkers salt and shake are an attempt at recreating the old smiths crisps salt and shake. Put simply they are standard plain walkers crisps without any flaouring. Instead a small sachet of salt is included in the bag for you to pour in the amout you want and then shake about to mix it in. This is a nice idea but doesnt work ... Read the complete review

The key thing about Salt and Shake crisps is that the flavouring is optional. Walkers make some of the best potato crisps about - of that there is little doubt. However they're often let down by poor flavourings. Of all the flavours Walkers make, there are only a handful that I can actually tolerate and probably only two that I ... Read the complete review

I love crisps and could easily love on a diet of purely them! Bad I know so I don't but it is a tempting thought lol. Of late we've had lots of different crisps coming through the door simply because my Step-Dad is temporarily working away from home and Mum buys him stuff to take with him to make sure he's got a few bits and bobs to nibble on in ... I can understand the concept of these crisps, but other people seem to be very confused by it. What it gives you is the choice between either using no salt at all, or just a little bit of salt, but what tickles me pink are the bumbling dimwits who use the whole packet! I say this because I have a friend that has a packet of these every single day ... Read the complete review

Well there crisps were a revelation when they come out...imagine that...actually getting to put your own salt on your crisps, how exciting! The packet is quite old fashioned but i feel it adds character and is what walkers were going for. It not as colourful as all their other crisp packets and is in a simple white packet with the blue ... Read the complete review

I bought these as they were different to the other crisps you can buy. The packaging is quite simple and reminds of crisps from years and years ago. It's a simple white packaging with a navy blue colour used with the writing. It looks classic and quite sophisticated if a pack of crisps can look like that! Inside are the ... Salt & Shake are a very hit an miss affair. I am old enough to remember when the only crisps you could really buy were those with the little blue twist of paper containing salt, which you sprinkled on that very rare treat of potato crisps. There was no such thing as flavoured crisps in those days. Looking back, those ... Read the complete review

We are so lucky to be able to enjoy Walker's crisp here. My friends in Asia are having problems getting hold of them and if they can find some, it's not always the flavour they want. I loved the Salt N Shake, I have tried the other flavours but the salt content especially towards the end always make me feel sick. The crisps ... Read the complete review

I like to eat crisps, probably a little more than I should as they make my skin so greasy. I normally like crisps with a lot of flavour, either tomato or chilli, they're my favourites but I came across Walkers Salt & Shake in Tesco's today at just £1.26 for 6 packet which is quite cheap considering they are Walkers crisps. I realy like these crisps, if like me you are a salt addict these are definately the crisps for you, I know salt is bad for me but cant resist it.
