Advantages: Different to other crisps & very tasty

Disadvantages: The bags are too big & you end up consuming more than you should

I came across these crisps at a recent party. I was so hungry and would have eaten anything. I grabbed a handful of crisps from a bowl and couldn’t help going back again and again and again.

I was wondering where these crisps were from as they weren’t your run of the mill variety pack of party crisps these were posh nosh for sure. In the end I spoke up and asked the host where they were from. I was really surprised to find out they were in fact a pack of walker’s sensations! The hostess was posh and her house was huge so I thought I had been sampling some expensive crisps but I was very wrong.

I love going to parties because you get to try things that you probably wouldn’t buy yourself. I always tend to just stick with the normal flavoured crisps just to be on the safe side, so I was pleasantly surprised to have come across a new find.

At the end of the party the hostess brought the packet over to me to show me what they looked like, so I could spot them at the supermarket. There were a few crisps left in the pack but they must have been her favourite too because she didn’t offer me anymore she just snaffled the rest right in front of me. Charming how hospitable was that!

Sensations come in numerous different flavours but the one I am talking about here is the “Gently Infused Lime and Thai Spices” flavour. They come in large bags of 150g which is quite a problem as they are so nice you could eat the lot in about 10 minutes which is not good because they bag equivalents to about 4 bags of big munch bags.
The bag is quite posh and looks very much like a mature snack. The bag is white with a big lime on and some slices of lime dotted around next to an image of a crisp and potato. There are then some spices floating around and a ribbon decorated down the side. The writing across the front says Sensations and then the flavour with a tiny Walkers symbol in the corner.
Just an idea to let you know so you don’t miss them on your next shopping trip and believe me you won’t want to.

Each bag is full of small and big crisps in different shapes and all have lots of spots on which I think is coriander. They are the same sort of thickness and texture as a normal walkers crisp but they have so much more taste to them. Once you pop one in your mouth you get a nice long taste of lime and while you are crunching through them you are constantly getting quick zaps of lime and a bit of a spicy twang. Once you are about to swallow the crisp you get a nice spicy kick but not an after taste. The spiciness doesn’t last too long and it is not as bad as some crisps where you burn your mouth out. These are a more sophisticated crisp that has a nice subtle flavour.
They are so Moorish and you could easily get though a bag in about ten minutes. They really are yummy. These crisps are great for entertaining and your guests will love them.
They don’t smell bad either like some crisps. The smell is like the taste. You can taste the crisp before you even eat it.
These are so zesty and great if you like lime. Even if you don’t try these crisps they may change your mind.

There are 200 calories per 40g so in a large bag you can consume up to about 750caloriesso you really need to be careful that you don’t scoff the whole bag.

You can buy these crisps from most supermarkets for about £1.20. At the moment these are on a buy one get one free offer at Tesco and one pack is £1.18. Excellent value as it makes each bag just over 50p and most small bags are that these days.
I don’t know how much of a good thing that is though because obviously you will have to eat a lot more crisps! Great for entertaining though.

Summary: Yum Yum

Maybe a bit too much narrative about the party for me - I'd rather have more on the crisps!
