Today I shared a packet of Walkers Sensations with the boyfriend which means I ate a third and he ate two thirds of a bag of Vintage Cheddar and Red Onion Chutney flavour crisps.

The 105 gram bag cost ninety nine pence from Sainsbury.

These crisps are meant to be a step up from the standard Walkers brand and I have to be honest sometimes I'm a bit sceptical about these claims as they are just an excuse to charge more with some fancy flavours which taste no different to the normal crisp, in this case Cheese and Onion.

Well first off these crisps are a lot bigger than the ones you find in a normal pack, they also appear a little thicker and they are definately a lot crisper when you bite into them as they have a nice satisfying crunch.

Tey are also very different when it comes to taste and I must say I really liked them. They are a lot more tangy than the normal brand and there is a fruity sweet taste to them, certainly the more dominant of the two flavours is the red onion chutney as there is a stronger hint of tomato to the crisps rather thana cheese flavour.

They are a little greasy to the touch but that is normal with crisps. All in all I have become a fan of these and they make a pleasant change, it is just a shame that this is the smallest pack size I could find.

Summary: Nice new flavour
