My mother recently gave me a 320g box of Walkers Homebake Recipe Shortbread Rounds. She had found them at the back of the cupboard left over from her Christmas hamper, and because she is diabetic she thought I would appreciate them instead. Walkers have been baking shortbread in the Scottish Highlands since 1898. They still use only the finest pure ingredients with no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives. Baked in the traditional way, Walkers shortbread rounds retain a home baked soft crumbly texture and rich buttery taste. I settled down to a nice cup of tea after work tonight and with it I had a biscuit, not just any biscuit but a Walkers shortbread round. Although we have just got back from Scotland where these biscuits originate from, my biscuits were not bought there but left over from Christmas. Wait rose sell these for about £1.50 for the 150g pack. These biscuits are quite a thick round biscuit so not so many in a packet about 9 or 10.. These biscuits as with all Walkers products are wrapped in a red tartan package looking very distinctive and Scottish. I look at this round biscuit it is an attractive light golden color.
