I'm a big fan of Walkers' crisps, and hgave recently been a bit of a pig and bought a huge bag of assorted flavours for a very good price. One of the flavours I encountered within the bag is the Smoky Bacon flavour, which, although decent, I find to be a bittoo smoky and not a whole lot like bacon.

Often, bacon flavoured crisps will not really have anything to do with bacon, and this is the case here, too. There is no bacon actually used in the making of the crisps, merely what they call bacon flavour, and that is perhaps why they don't really taste that much like bacon.

The 25g packet of crisps had 131 calories in it, as well as over 12g of carbs and 8g of fat, so it's probably not the best thing to eat if you're working on a diet controlled programme. In fact, crisps in general probably aren't the most recommendable food item for a diet of sorts. They are made using sunseed oil which is lower ion saturates than other oils used for crisp making. These crisps were part of a 26 packet bag, which cost me a mere £2.49, making each bag under the 10p mark - bargain.

This would have been great had I actually liked the crisps! They weren't particularly nice in terms of flavour, and seemed to make more mess with what the crisps were actually made of. I do often find this with bacon flavoured crisps, so it was no real surprise, but couple with the fact that I didn't particularly like how they tasted, it led me to disappointment. Overall, not a flavour of Walkers' crisps that I would recommend.
