Advantages: crispy and cruunchy as you'd expect

Disadvantages: the flavour seems to have become more pungent

Until recently this has been one of my treats of all treats. I love walkers crisps and would buy no other kind, and for years this has been my most favourite flavour. They are of course as crunchy and crispy as ever, and for a vegetarian like me they give a lovely taste memory of smoky bacon without the added pig. My only problem with them for years has been that a couldn't stop eating the damn things; recently, however, I had a long break from eating them - for no other reason than I managed to get a cheap multi pack including only ready salted, salt and vinegar, and cheese and onion crisps - and when I returned to them I found them incredibly rich, and rather more intense than I remembered them. I think the packaging has been updated so whether the crisps themselves have been changed too, or whether it was just me having a funny five minutes, I'm not sure. I was so disappointed I've not bought them again, but perhaps I should to see whether it was just an isolated incident. My hunch, though, is that Walkers have made improvements that, to me, are not improvements at all.
