Advantages: Nice on a butty

Disadvantages: Not as strong tasting as they used to be; Bland and a bit oily feeling

They've done something mad to Smoky Bacon crisps, I reckon it's because they've changed the oil that they cook them in but the flavour has all gone and they seem proper bland now.

At one time I would have said that they was one of my favourite flavours because the crisps had such a strong bacon flavour and were lovely and salty. Now though the taste is proper weak on the crisps and they're nowhere near salty enough for me.

The crisps are nice and crispy, Walkers are the best for a crisp butty and Smoky Bacon ones used to be sooooooo wicked with fresh white bread and proper butter. I used half of this bag on a butty and they tasted better like that than straight out of the bag.

As well as the flavour being weak I think the bacon taste isn't as strong now and the crisps are really flat. Once I've licked all the flavour off it might as well be a Ready Salted crisp because it's such a boring taste but before the whole crisp tasted bacony.

I'm proper disappointed in these now. When I got them I was a bit nervous because I think the Salt And Vinegar ones have lost a lot of their flavour as well now. I think these Smoky Bacon crisps are a bit too greasy feeling for me as well and even though they don't taste greasy they make a right mess of your fingers and loads of oil comes off them.

I'm going off Walkers quick because this is the 3rd flavour I've had that hasn't tasted right and I reckon it's got to be the sunseed oil that has changed the taste of them. It's another one of them things where they have made them a bit healthier but doing this has removed some of the flavour and personaly I'd rather they kept frying them in the bad oil!
